Sadly my earliest memory is not a happy one, it involves a personal family incident. So I'm going to go with another memory a little later in my youth.
I must have been maybe around 3 years old, and we were in our home in Mexicali. I remember I had all a kid could want. I had my own room, decorated with Barbie sheets and window treatments. I had all the Barbie stuff, box of clothes, the corvette, and her friends. I had a play room in the back of the house with many toys, I had a play kitchen with the plastic food, I had a Light Brite, I had an Easy Bake Oven, I had all kinds of board games, and I'm sure many more toys. I was still an only child at this point, so I guess I needed to find ways to keep me busy LOL. But one memory I remember is when I was going to pre school and I was nominated to be the Princess of this parade they used to hold every year. I think I recall them asking me what I wanted to be, and instead of saying Queen, I said Princess! I remember it was a competition of sorts, you had to sell tickets in order to buy your way into being the "winner" that got to be featured on the float. I remember that the dad of the girl who was the Queen had some money, so he was able to buy his daughter onto the top of the float. I'm sure my parents tried too, but I didn't care. I got to wear a pretty Princess dress that I remember I totally loved, I got to wear a little tiara and I still got to ride on the float, I just wasn't at the top, but I didn't care, it was the funnest day EVER!
And for effect, here is proof I was once a Princess, LOL!
Here is my Prince =P, he was a cute boy
And here are the other little bitches I was competing against
